Integrated HRM Workshop

Learn how to take an integrated approach to HRM in your organization

Birches Group is pleased to announce that it will continue to offer its 5-day workshop on Integrating Human Resources. The program, which piloted in 2018, combines all three course offerings of Birches Group: Job Design and Evaluation, Compensation Management, and Recognition and Reward. It is specifically designed for headquarters, regional, and country-level HR decision-makers who want to learn how to optimize their HR programme and maximize its impact; however, HR or non-HR professionals and leaders who wish to build their understanding of the science of Human Resources or those who want to extend their skills by learning critical people management concepts are also welcome to join.

The integrated course aims to cover the 4 main areas in HR: jobs, markets, skills, and performance. We recognize that it has always been a challenge to secure talent, build your workforce, and enable performance, and even more so to integrate all of these. In the span of five intensive days, workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of how to link the four critical areas of Human Resources and become strategic partners in their own organizations.

While the workshop covers a broad range of foundational principles and concepts, it has been designed to include a number of practical exercises that will allow participants to quickly apply their learnings. Daily diagnostic activities will help participants examine their own organizations based on the practices raised for each module of the workshop.

The workshop is built on Birches Group’s integrated Human Resource platform – Community™. The Community™ application will be used across the job evaluation, skills assessment, and performance evaluation exercises.

Here’s what our participants have said about the workshop:

“The themes/sections of the workshop were very well chosen to upgrade my skills and the level of professionalism – this is the fundamental knowledge every HR practitioner should get – this is the knowledge I was lacking and finally was able to receive along with the answers to my questions during the workshop.” – Dubai training participant, October 2018

“Overall, the course is quite rich because it covers all aspects of HR especially organization management of staff within different aspects of the organization- from when you formulate the job to evaluating and looking at the skills assessment and also performance appraisal. What I found innovative was the skills assessment- I would like to look at this further and see how we can adopt that. I also liked the simplicity of the performance evaluation- it does not complicate the process and it is easy to understand. There is very little training needed and it is quite straight-forward. It helps us see what we can adopt and what we can do differently to make our work much easier.” – Dubai training participant, October 2018

“There were so many things I liked about the course- the integrated approach was very useful. I am happy that they have given us a lot of material so you can take it away with you and develop an understanding of these in my own organization” – Dubai training participant, October 2018

“As a new HR person, I liked the entire concept and because of this workshop, I really started to appreciate the bigger picture of Human Resources. When we start using the Birches model, this workshop will facilitate better understanding and better implementation and clarity in the organization. We really need to start defining and clarifying the jobs.” – Dubai training participant, October 2018
